"Woyzeck" by St. Joseph’s College of Commerce
Woyzeck is an incomplete play by one of the greatest German playwrights, Georg Buchner. The play is centered on the character Woyzeck, a soldier in a small town in Germany. He lives with Marie and a child born to them but they both are not married to each other and hence shunned by the society. The play examines the psychological turmoil that Woyzeck faces when he is being subjected to inhuman treatment by his Captain and when Marie decides to look elsewhere for pleasure and comfort.
“The Actor’s Nightmare” by Mount Carmel College
The Actor’s Nightmare is a short comic play by Christopher Durang. It involves an accountant named George Spelvin, who is mistaken for an actor and forced to perform in a play for which he doesn’t know any of the lines.
This performance tries to make the play relevant to the contemporary times by reinterpreting the play while also trying to maintain the integrity of the original play.
“Draupadi” by Christ University
Draupadi, a multiplication of several positives and negatives. When you have multiple thoughts at a time and every thought wants to take over. Draupadi is about that energy. It makes you laugh, cry and probably look within. What you want to feel is your conflict. To realize, we need to resolve the conflicts. She had the resolution within her conflicts.
This play is inspired by the personal experiences of the actors.
